Refund policy
Last updated:
AiRay Pro is a digital license that turns on as soon as your payment is confirmed. From then, the right of withdrawal is limited. You can try it free before you pay, and we refund in the cases below.
Pro turns on as soon as you pay
Once your payment is confirmed, Pro turns on for the Mac you bought it from. That is when the digital content is provided, so from the moment you pay, the right to withdraw (cancel because you changed your mind) is limited.
You're told this before you pay: on this page, next to the Pro price on this site, and in the notice next to the Buy button on the app's upgrade screen.
Try it free before you pay
The free version never expires. Everything below is free, so you can do what Pro does before you spend anything.
- A scan of every project on your Mac, and everything the app shows
- The receipt for every project: what deleting its folder would lose
- Restore and Put Back, unlimited
- One cleanup to try: one item, or the smallest items up to 5 GB at once (the Pro feature itself)
Right of withdrawal in Korea
Under Article 17(2)5 of Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content can be restricted once the content has been provided. Article 17(6) requires the seller to disclose that restriction and to offer a trial.
So AiRay Pro discloses before payment that withdrawal is restricted, and offers one free cleanup and the free features as the trial. Provision begins when payment is confirmed and Pro turns on.
When we refund
Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you. In these cases we refund once we've checked: email bill@jocoding.net with the email you paid with and your receipt (or the last 4 characters of your license code).
- The product differs from how it was described or advertised, or from the contract: within 3 months of purchase, or within 30 days of when you learned (or could have learned) of it (Article 17(3) of the same Act)
- You were charged twice for the same purchase, or charged in error
- A defect keeps the app from working as described, and we can't fix it
- Any other case where the law requires a refund
Payments and refund processing
- Payments are processed by Stripe: in won when checkout is in Korean, in US dollars when it's in English. Your receipt goes to the email you enter at checkout.
- While we sell through Stripe Managed Payments, Link (Stripe) is the reseller and seller of record and handles receipts and refunds. Link may also refund at its own discretion to prevent disputes.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method. When they show up depends on your card issuer or payment service.
- After a refund, Pro for that license turns off the next time the app checks. Everything in Free keeps working, including your archives and Restore.
