Terms of Service

Last updated:

These are the terms for using the AiRay app and this website, run by JoCoding, Inc.. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

What the app does

AiRay is a Mac app for developers who use AI coding agents. On your Mac, it reads project folders, git data and the session files your AI tools keep, shows them project by project, and cleans only what you confirm in a plan or what an automatic rule you turned on selects.

Scanning only reads and never changes anything. There is no account. It runs on macOS 14 Sonoma or later (Apple silicon and Intel), ships as an Apple-notarized DMG, and updates itself from inside the app.

What's free

The free version never expires and is fine on work Macs. It needs no license and no account.

  • A scan of every project on your Mac, and everything the app shows
  • The receipt for every project: what deleting its folder would lose
  • Restore and Put Back, unlimited
  • One cleanup to try: one item, or the smallest items up to 5 GB at once. It's offered once per Mac user account.

Pro: pay once, use it for life

Pro is a license that turns on unlimited cleanups, many items at once and automatic cleanup rules. It's a one-time payment (VAT included), not a subscription, and you can use the license for life. Future updates are included at no extra cost.

The price is the one shown on this site and at checkout: in won when checkout is in Korean, in US dollars when it's in English.

Payment and refunds

You start a purchase from the app's upgrade screen, and Stripe processes the payment. While we sell through Stripe Managed Payments, Link (Stripe) is the merchant of record and handles payment, tax, receipts and refunds. Your receipt goes to the email you enter at checkout.

Pro is a digital license that turns on as soon as your payment is confirmed, so from the moment you pay, the right of withdrawal (cancelling because you changed your mind) is limited. Try the free features and the one free cleanup before you pay. When and how we refund is in the refund policy.

If a payment is refunded or disputed, Pro for that license turns off the next time the app checks. Everything in Free keeps working, including your archives and Restore.

Your license

  • A Pro license is for one person on up to 2 Macs, work Macs included.
  • You can move it to another Mac. Turning Pro off on the old Mac is always allowed; moving from the new Mac works once every 30 days.
  • Keep your license code to yourself. It isn't for sharing with other people.
  • Don't reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, or bypass or modify the license check, except where the law allows it.
  • The rights to the app and this site belong to JoCoding, Inc.. A license gives you the right to use the app; it doesn't sell you the app itself.

Your data and backups

You decide what gets cleaned. The app shows you the plan first and checks again right before each step. Work that exists only on this Mac, like uncommitted changes or a project with no remote, is archived and verified before it goes to the Trash. Folders you can reinstall, like node_modules, are cleared, not archived.

Still, keep your own backups of anything important. Check again before you empty the Trash or delete an archive. Archives live on your Mac, and looking after them is up to you.

If you think something was removed by mistake, don't empty the Trash, and follow the steps on the support page.

Safety switch

At launch and each time you open a plan, the app checks a signed safety switch from our server. If we find a safety problem, we can use it to pause cleanup actions such as moving to the Trash, archiving and clearing caches on every Mac, or to hold them until you update to a safe version.

Scanning and restore never go through the switch and always work.

Warranty and liability

We build the app to work as described and fix defects through updates. Data-safety fixes are free for everyone. A defect we can't fix is refunded under the refund policy. Beyond that, we give no warranty past what the law requires, such as a promise that it works without error on every Mac and in every situation.

To the extent the law allows, and unless we acted intentionally or with gross negligence, we aren't liable for data loss or indirect damages from using the app. This doesn't limit our liability for harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, or any right the law gives you as a consumer.

Privacy

Project names, paths, code and commits never leave your Mac. Everything the app and this website collect, and where it goes, is in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change applies. The new terms apply to use after that.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If there's a dispute, email bill@jocoding.net first. If we can't settle it, it goes to the court with jurisdiction under Korea's Civil Procedure Act. If you're a consumer living in another country, you keep the mandatory protections your local law gives you.
